The backstory Since 1985, Horizon Outdoor Construction has built custom pools and outdoor living spaces for homeowners across southeast Texas. Today, Horizon designs and builds pools, hot tubs, patio covers, outdoor kitchens, backyard bathrooms and replaces, among other home upgrades. The company also handles remodeling projects for customers looking to refresh existing spaces. His daughter, Lauren Olmstead, who has worked with the company for 14 years, manages all new construction. “I love seeing the transformation,” she said.

For the Horizon team, they said each build is more than a sale. The cost and expense of such projects are huge for many families, Olmstead said. “These are things families have saved their whole lives for,” Olmstead said. “They’ve worked so hard to be able to a ord this type of expense, and we really respect that.
