Argyle ISD approves 2 facility contracts Argyle ISD’s board of trustees started the construction process for a new elementary school and middle school by approving architectural design services and procure- ment of construction services for the two schools at a regular board meeting Jan. 20. The details District Construction Manager Jeff Koehn said both schools are scheduled to open for the 2029-30 school year. The middle school will be built along Harpole Road, according to previous reporting. The elementary school will be located in Furst Ranch along US 377, Koehn said. Both facilities will be funded through a $423 million bond approved by voters in May 2025.

What you need to know LISD high schoolers can take classes fully online or have a mix of online and in-person classes through the new programs starting in fall 2026, according to the district’s website. The new programs also expand online access to advanced placement, dual-credit and career and technical education courses, per district documents. Public school districts can receive state funding for students enrolled in virtual classes after the Texas Legislature passed Senate Bill 569. Students in ninth-12th grade interested in taking online classes can participate in the hybrid online program and take both virtual and in-person classes, per the website.

Both the full-time online program and the hybrid program are only available for students enrolled in LISD, according to the website. LISD held an online information session about the new programs Feb. 18. More information, including a recording of the information session, is available on the district’s website.
