Residents to see utility rate increases Oct. 1 Georgetown utility customers will see increases to their water, wastewater and stormwater utility bills starting Oct. 1. The increased rates will help address environ- mental compliance, population growth and capital improvement projects, city officials said at a May 26 City Council workshop. Williamson County officials updated the policy for multiuse conference rooms in county buildings, largely restricting the public from reserving rooms. The gist County Manager Rebecca Clemons said the county has begun running out of space for its own functions, prompting the policy change. It will affect rooms in the Georgetown Annex, Cedar Park Annex, Jester Annex, and the administration and historic courthouse. “[We’re] getting away from being a public rental process to making sure that we do reservations for county staff, for county business, and for those associated entities,” Clemons said.
