Frontyard Brewing Brewery seeks to provide space for families, community engagement C had Worner started making beer in 2010 with a home- brewing kit; today, he owns

Worner connected with the owners of the overall site in late 2018, and they worked together to start drawing up and designing building plans before they opened in 2020, he said. "We designed the site and build- ings together, so it feels seamless," Worner said. The property has a spacious out- door seating area, pickleball courts and tennis courts for guests as well as two food trucks. One truck oŠers ‹atbreads and pizzas; the other truck oŠers burg- ers and BuŠalo chicken sandwiches. Frontyard is a manufacturing brewery, which means all beer sold must be made on site, and nothing

can be imported, Worner said. Frontyard Brewing beers are also sold in around 50 bars, restaurants and retail locations in the Austin area. “Our beers are also in six or seven HŽEŽB’s now,” Worner said. Frontyard’s taproom oŠers a wide selection of beers to choose from, including a Belgian blonde beer and hazy IPAs, which are very popular right now, Worner said. Overall, Worner said he would encourage people to come out and enjoy the area. He said the corner- stone of the business is community engagement. “It’s just neat to see families come out and have a great time,” he said.

The brewery opened in 2020 in the Spicewood area.

He said they chose to open in Spicewood when they realized the region would continue to grow. “Coming from a development background and watching the infra- structure go in, I knew that growth was heading this way,” he said. After going to over 25 retailers to get feedback on their beer, the Worners were introduced to the 9-acre Spicewood site.
