Miracle League of Frisco celebrates 20 years with new eld in 2026 When the umpire calls ‘play ball!’ in April for the rst Miracle League of Frisco baseball game of 2026, that will be the audible start to the nonprof- it’s 20th baseball season. At that point in time, the new and improved Mike Simpson Field will be debuted. Miracle League of Frisco began in 2006. “Our eld was showing its age from baking in the Texas sun for 20 years,” Jeremy Silvas said. “I give the city all the credit in the world ... They paid for this eld and the new special needs playground.” What’s happening Miracle League teams are made up of special needs community members whose ages range from 5 to 22 years old. MLF President Jeremy Silvas and his son Jared Silvas have participated in the local nonprot for 20 years. “The mission is to give every kid an opportu- nity to play sports. It’s important to me more so because I had a son that played, that’s how I got involved,” Jeremy Silvas said. Jared Silvas—who is 26 years old and aged out of being a Miracle League athlete at the age of 22—now helps his dad coach the Rangers Miracle League baseball team. Going forward MLF will host the 2026 National Miracle League All-Star Weekend on Oct. 16-18. Jeremy Silvas said the event will bring approximately 1500 people to Frisco.

Two Miracle League Frisco baseball games are played every Saturday at Mike Simpson Field during baseball season.
