Why are you running to represent Texas’ 8th Congressional District?

Candidate did not respond by press time.

Born in Montgomery County, I was raised in all areas of this district—I know these people and this district. Leaving District 8 for 14 years to serve my country as a Navy SEAL, I am now back home and raising my own family here. I want to serve this community, and representing them in Congress will be a great honor.

I believe the best person to represent the regular, hardwork- ing people in the district is a regular, hardworking person. I’m not a politician, and I’m not a Washington insider. I will ght to improve the daily lives of the people in the district. I will be accountable to my constituents.

What are general education needs that you would prioritize if elected to Congress?

Candidate did not respond by press time.

Education is a state and local issue. I believe the federal government should not be involved in education.

I would prioritize legislation to raise teacher pay, provide access to resources, ensure all students have access to high-speed internet at home, increase funding for the Title 1 program, fund mental health support, increase funding for the Head Start program and incentivize homeschool.
