Occupation: state senator Relevant experience: incumbent johnwhitmire@ johnwhitmire.com JOHN WHITMIRE

I am running to continue to be the voice for Senate District 15 constituents and all Texans. Public service is a calling, and it has been my calling for decades. I would like to continue to use my seniority, experience and knowledge to advocate for good policies that will make our lives better.

I will continue to foster these relationships that have allowed me to work across the aisle. I am the only Democratic committee chair in the Senate and one of only three Democratic senators on nance. I have established relationships with legislative and agency leadership to get things accom- plished throughout the years.

First, I will continue advocating and ghting for expanding Medicaid. Millions of Texans would be beneted from us accepting federal assistance with the expansion of Medicaid. The pandemic brought nancial diculties as well as health care challenges to many residents. I will continue to advo- cate for COVID[-19] tests, vaccines and any nancial help we can get.
