Starting this winter, drivers will see new tra c control devices along Celina’s Preston Road as part of a city landscape improve- ment project. On Aug. 13, Celina City Council members approved an additional $106,713 purchase for tra c control devices as part of the $1.23 million Preston Road Green Ribbon project. beds and damaged irrigation along Preston Road. It is expected to be completed in March 2025. The request for devices, which included 72 truck mounted attenuators, which help cushion the trucks in a car crash, and 72 ashing message boards, came from the Texas Department of Transportation. TxDOT will not allow lane closures without the devices, according to meeting documents.
Designs kick o for Teel Parkway
The designs are projected to take around a year to nish, according to meeting documents. Construction is then expected to begin in winter 2026 and nish in summer 2027.
A section of Prosper’s Teel Park- way is headed for construction. The gist Prosper Town Council members approved an $806,740 contract for designs related to Teel Parkway construction Sept. 10. The project is to design two Teel Parkway southbound lanes from just north of its intersection with First Street to its intersection at Freeman Street as part of the town’s infrastructure improve- ments along the road.
