Katy, Fulshear see population growth over 5 years
to 354,033. ZIP code 77441 saw the largest percentage increase at 229.04%, with the population rising from 12,559 to 41,324. The area is also becoming more diverse, data shows. While the percentage of residents who identify as white decreased from 70% to 45% between 2019 to 2024, the number of people who identify as two or more races, or Hispanic or Latino has increased.
The population in Katy and Fulshear area ZIP codes is growing and becoming more diverse, according to U.S. Census Bureau data. On Jan. 29, the U.S. Census Bureau released new data for 2024 as part of its American Community Survey, which represents a 5-year estimate of the population across the country from 2020 to 2024. The data compares with the 2019 survey results, which studied the country from 2015 to 2019. The overall population increased 34.34% across the Katy and Fulshear area, rising from 263,534
