Texas Children’s names new system president Texas Children’s announced in a Sept. 22 news release on the hospital website that Dr. Debra Feigin Sukin will become the new president of the organization Jan. 8. Sukin is currently exec- utive vice president for four Houston Methodist hospitals as well as CEO of Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital. Sukin will report to Mark A. Wallace, CEO of Texas Children’s, according to the release. What they’re saying “Her expertise, vision and values are a perfect t for our organization and where we are headed in the future,” Wallace said in the news release. “This is an amazing organization, and I look forward to working with the outstanding faculty and sta throughout the system and leading the next evolution of Texas Children’s,” Sukin said in the news release.
Advocacy program to reach more youth Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children of Montgomery County is expand- ing its advocacy eorts beyond the child welfare system. Two-minute impact A new pilot program will be in collabo- ration with Judge Scharlene Valdez of the 418th District Court and Judge Wayne Mack, Precinct 1 justice of the peace.
