4 David Memorial Drive extension A project to extend David Memorial Drive to Hwy. 242 began in September under the terms of an interlocal agreement between the city of Shenandoah and Montgomery County. 2 Robinson Road realignment The company Quiddity will perform end-to-end construction management on a project to align Robinson Road across Hanna Road. Delays with Entergy’s relocation plans have set the project back, city ocials said. The project bid was awarded Oct. 9 and work could start in February, City Manager Heather Neeley said. • Timeline: February 2024-late 2024 • Cost: $7.42 million • Funding source: city of Oak Ridge North 3 Grade separation at Hwy. 242 and FM 1314 A Texas Department of Transportation project to construct a grade separation and widen Hwy. 242 east and west of FM 1314 is 97% complete as of a October update. The project has been underway by Aranda Brothers Construction since July 2018 and is anticipated to wrap up in the third quarter of 2023, according to Spring

1 Grogans Mill Road and Research Forest Drive turn lane construction Turn lane improvements at Research Forest Drive and Grogans Mill Road will extend the westbound acceleration lane from southbound Grogans Mill to westbound Research Forest as well as the westbound Research Forest lane to northbound Grogans Mill. Work on the eastbound lane was scheduled to begin after Entergy utility pole relocation is completed, which occurred in early October, engineer John Bleyl said. The project is being managed by Montgomery County Precinct 2. • Timeline: January-TBD • Cost: $240,000 • Funding sources: Montgomery County Precinct 2, Texas Department of Transportation

5 Hwy. 242 widening TxDOT will use existing right of way on Hwy. 242 between FM 1488 and I-45 to widen lanes and restripe the intersections. The project will also include construction of detention ponds.
