How should NBISD handle continued growth in the district?

How should CISD handle continued growth in the district?

NBISD should carefully plan, using accu- rate information, for new households, to have classrooms ready in the right areas. Development does not occur in secret; it can be planned for and eciently accepted. New construction, additions, or boundary adjustments must be used when needed to avoid misusing taxpayers’ money.

Utilize attendance zones, improve eciency of existing facilities, ask public for additional schools when necessary.

I believe NBISD is handling the continued growth as well as can be expected already. Our only real option is to continue to use demographers and track where the growth will take place, so that schools can be built or expanded to accommo- date the increasing number of students.

Aggressively partner with developers who are beneting from the draw of Comal ISD to ensure they are contributing their fair share to our land/ facility needs. Maintain scal responsibility by working within the current I&S tax rate for rea- sonable bonds to build ecient long-term cam- puses while re-capitalizing our existing facilities.
