spent her high school years planning her future bakery’s name as well as baked goods recipes. “I’ve been planning this thing for a long time,” Gray said. On the menu Dough Baby Bakeshop oers pastries with gluten-free options alongside breakfast and lunch. Its bakery menu is made of a variety of cookie and cupcake avors as well as cakes, lemon squares, iced sugar cookies and cinnamon rolls. “We have these Texas-sized cinnamon rolls that are super good,” Gray said. Along with the pastries, Gray said some popular breakfast and lunch options include chicken salad, croissants and breakfast tacos.

With over 10 years of experience in the baking industry, Allyson Gray brought Dough Baby Bakeshop to Montgomery last April. “I have loved baking since I was little, and I always wanted to open a bakery,” Gray said. Meet the chef Although Gray said she did not study culinary arts in college, she earned a business administra- tion degree to fulll her dream. Gray’s baking experience comes from her time as a culinary arts student in high school as well as her time learning through trial and error from recipes found on YouTube and the internet. Gray also worked for several bakeries in college. With her mind set on opening a bakery, Gray
