locally, such as farro from Barton Springs Mill up the road, and bacon from Hudson Meat Market on South Congress Avenue in Austin. Becky Atkins said she wants the restaurant to be a charming local spot for locals, visitors and new residents seeking out familiarity in a new place. “We have so many unique gems ... that people who live here don’t even know they exist,” Becky Atkins said. “So... to really explore your own backyard is something I hope to encourage more people to do, and I hope to give them comfort in doing so.”

Ian and Becky Atkins opened Summer Revival in May 2022 as a tasting room for their wine labels Flat Brim Wines and Summer Revival Wine Co. They have since closed the labels and evolved the business into a restaurant. “What was once a tasting room that served lovely food, we’re now a wonderful restaurant that serves lovely wines,” Becky Atkins said.
