Five streets receive funding for upgrades The city of Pflugerville will spend around $4.55 million in 2020 bond dollars to rehabilitate five city streets over the next several months. The context City Council members approved a construction contract Aug. 22 for the work, which will begin in September and wrap up in June 2024. Diving in deeper The five projects are: • 10th Street rehabilitation from Pecan Street to Wells Branch Parkway: $1,860,902 • Mountain View Drive pavement work: $737,172 • Plumbago Drive maintenance: $1,289,421 • West Custers Creek Bend pavement work: $339,821 • Kay Lane pavement rehabilitation: $319,051

Work continues on Hutto intersection Crews are upgrading the Hwy. 79 and FM 1660 North intersection in Hutto. The details PLUMBAGO DR. The project will add a dedicated right-turn lane to FM 1660 southbound to head west on Hwy. 79. Work will continue through December 2024. Two other projects—one at FM 1660 and Limmer Loop along with another at FM 1660 South and Hwy. 79—will begin in 2024.
