Evoking that feeling was White’s goal when she opened the home decor boutique at The Shops at Starwood in Frisco in March 2017. She said she saw a decline in the number of local boutiques when the recession hit in 2008, and she wanted a business to ! ll the gap. “I’ve always had a passion for home decorating and interior design,” White said. “And I wanted to bring back that small, quaint boutique.” Oasis Accents specializes in home accessories and art—from canvas to custom pieces, White said. Customers often come into the boutique with various home decorating projects in mind. “The last few months have been some of the best that we’ve had since we’ve opened,” she said. Online ordering, curbside pickup and home delivery are available, as are in-store services, White said. As the holiday season approaches, White said, an array of gift options are available for purchase, including candles, bookends, photo frames and other small items. “Even if there’s someone who isn’t interested in decorating their home, we do have a lot of unique gifts for the holidays,” she said.
