Go Skateboarding Day This annual event hosted by the Cedar Park Parks and Recreation Department will include various competitions, including a street-style competition, a bowl contest and Game of Skate, in which skaters perform each other’s tricks. Liberty Fest The city of Leander’s annual Independence Day celebration will include fireworks, live music, children’s activities and food. A kids zone featuring bounce houses and slides will require a $10 wristband. Austin Symphony Fourth of July Celebration and Fireworks

Independence Day Spectacular At this patriotic Liberty Hill event, residents can compete in homemade apple pie, watermelon-seed spitting and hot dog-eating contests while children can enjoy an obstacle course, a trackless train and a Velcro wall. Activities will be followed by a snowball fight and live music by Jason Boland & The Stragglers. Wildlife On The Move presents Boas v. Pythons

The animal outreach organization will showcase eight boas and pythons from five continents. The sports-themed show will explore the differences and similarities between boas and pythons and aim to promote literacy.
