Dripping Springs sees overall population growth

Aordable housing project slated to open this spring

The latest data from the United States Census Bureau shows that Dripping Springs continues to grow in population, but also saw a dip in the number of births and number of kindergarten students enrolled in the local district, according to American Community Survey Estimates.

A new aordable housing project—Industry SOMA—is slated to be completed this spring near William Cannon Drive and South Menchaca Road. The details The 23 townhomes, expected to be completed in March, will range from $235,000 to $270,000. The townhomes are available for families earning up to 80% of the Austin-area median family income. For scal year 2024, the MFI was $126,000, with 80% being $97,800 for a four person household, according to city documents. Eligibility to qualify is vetted by a local Hous- ing and Urban Development certied broker. If approved, the applicant can request down payment assistance if needed. Also of note Developer Industry ATX is partnering with real estate buyer and consultant HomeBase Texas to ensure long-term aordability of the property.

One Oak now open in Bouldin Creek The residential complex is now open in the Bouldin Creek neighborhood. The details One Oak consists of 106 residential units and has various oor plans, including one and two bedroom plans, live-and-work storefront plans and 10 penthouse units. All residential homes are ocially sold out, according to the business’ website.
