Keller park playground construction begins Work is underway at The Parks at Town Center near The Keller Pointe to replace a playground there, according to Keller city ocials. The park is located at 1100 Bear Creek Parkway. The details The $150,000 playground project will feature three play areas, multiple slides and shade cano- pies. Money for the project comes from the Keller Development Corporation, which receives a half- cent of the community’s sales tax revenue to use exclusively on parks and recreation capital projects, according to city ocials. Work on the park is expected to be completed in February, ocials said. Ocials said the replacement is a part of the city commitment to replace playgrounds that have reached the end of their useful life.

Executive director, chief appraiser hired for appraisal district Joe Don Bobbitt was hired as the execu- tive director and chief appraiser for Tarrant Appraisal District, per a news release. Bobbitt has spent the past four years as the chief appraiser for the McLennan Central Appraisal District in Waco. The backstory Former Executive

Director and Chief Appraiser Je Law resigned in 2023. Law held the role since 2008. “I’m honored to have been chosen,” Bobbitt said in the release.
