Keller council amends contract for Johnson Road construction

Keller City Council approved a contract amend- ment Dec. 19 for the Johnson Road Reconstruction Project that will keep the work on schedule. The amendment was to the city’s contract with Teague Nall and Perkins of Fort Worth. The details Additional funding was required because the original construction inspection eort estimate from 2018 did not account for the project’s high- er-than-normal resident interaction and coordina- tion, said Rachel Reynolds, communication and public engagement manager for the city. This amendment will provide for the continua- tion of construction inspections through the end of construction. The amendment cost was $90,000, a council agenda memo stated. Construction on Johnson is ongoing and remains on schedule for completion this summer, Reynolds said.

The city contracted with Teague Nall and Perkins in November 2018 for the Johnson Road Reconstruction project, which was a $7.2 million roadway project to reconstruct Johnson Road from Hallelujah to Rhonda, including utility and other improvements along the corridor.
