Union Avenue sidewalk gap project coming soon New Braunfels is set to improve Union Avenue with a project focused on enhancing roadway conditions and pedestrian access. The details The project will include milling and overlaying the roadway, spot base repairs, and installing sidewalks where gaps currently exist from Lincoln Street to Common Street, said Capital Projects Manager Brenadette Faust. In addition, the project will partner with New Braunfels Utilities to update the area’s water system, Faust said. Construction is expected to begin in the next few months as part of the 2023 Bond Program, Faust said. The cost and timeline are still to be determined.
