Chi’Lantro Founder Jae Kim opened a new location in the Heights in April.
Four new fusion food concepts joining area A number of new fusion eateries opened in 2023 or will open in early 2024, including the Austin-based Korean and Tex-Mex fusion eatery Chi’Lantro. Founder Jae Kim launched the concept as a food truck in 2010. Zooming in Other concepts include the Cajun and Japanese hibachi chain Stick Talk Cajun Hibachi, and Fusion Eats Canteen & Cocktails, which uses Pan-Asian and South American ingredients. Annam, a concept from restaurateurs Chris Kinjo and Dung Nguyen, will open in February, o ering Vietnam- ese tapas with a French twist.
