Liberty Hill ISD sets goals to boost achievement Liberty Hill ISD has adopted new goals to improve student performance in the 2025-26 school year and beyond. LHISD officials presented an updated district improvement plan, as mandated by state law, at an Oct. 20 board of trustees meeting. The plan details goals to raise student achieve- ment in math and reading as well as college, career and military readiness, or CCMR, along- side providing additional support for historically underperforming student groups, said Heather Stoner, LHISD’s new assistant superintendent of teaching and learning. Voters passed Liberty Hill ISD’s Prop- osition A tax rate increase, uncanvassed election night results show. The results On Nov. 4, 52.19% of voters, or 3,986 people, cast their ballots in favor of Prop A, while 47.81% of voters, or 3,651 people, voted against the measure. The district had previously called for a tax rate election in November 2024, during which voters failed to approve a nearly $0.06 increase. Zooming out LHISD asked voters to approve a main- tenance and operations, or M&O, tax rate of $0.7389 per $100 valuation, about $0.07 higher than the fiscal year 2024-25 M&O tax rate of $0.6669 per $100 valuation.
