NEW BRAUNFELS From 2016-21, the population in New Braunfels grew by 44.02%. That gure is slightly higher than Comal County but substantially higher than Guadalupe County and Texas as a whole, which had a population increase of more than 7.07% in the same time period. The median age of residents remained at 35 years old and residents 65 and older was down slightly to 11% from 14%, according to the U.S. Census Bureau’s Annual Community Surveys.
