deal. Jordan Robinson, interim Round Rock Chamber president and CEO, said bringing technology and computing companies to the city is a strategic goal for Round Rock leaders. A representative of Kingsisle’s parent company, Gamigo, said the company closed Kingsisle oces in anticipation of locating a new home for the company headquarters. The new headquarters will be at 2700 La Frontera Blvd. in Round Rock. “We’re excited to solidify and grow Kingsisle Entertainment’s footprint in Round Rock while incorporating relocated sta from previous oces now decommissioned in the Bay Area, Austin and Plano,” Chief Gaming Ocer Merv Lee Kwai said in a statement shared by the chamber. The company was originally headquartered in Plano before being acquired by Media and Games Invest in January 2021.

ROUND ROCK City Council unanimously approved an agreement between the Round Rock Transpor- tation and Economic Development Corp. and Kingsisle Entertainment on Dec. 16. Video game developer Kingsisle Entertainment will invest a mini- mum of $500,000 on real property improvements and business personal property. The company has also agreed to bring 150 jobs to the city with an average salary of $85,000 over three years. The Round Rock TEDC will make annual incentive payments totaling $100,000 over the three years of the agreement once the company begins occupying the facility. The performance-based agreement allows for clawbacks, or stipulations requiring money be returned should Kingsisle not fulll its end of the

President and CEO Jason Ball. Ball’s departure from the chamber was announced Dec. 2 in a statement that said he will be relocating to Lincoln, Nebraska, and leading the city’s chamber. In the release, Ball said working for the Round Rock Chamber during the COVID-19 pandemic and related economic recovery has constituted some of the best work he has ever done in his 14-year career in economic development. Ball joined the chamber in late 2019, and his nal day will be Jan. 30.
